Why do custumers choose the slip ring?

In electrical design, if the mechanical parts is under 360-degree unlimited continuous rotation, and the wire are to be connected to the rotating part, the electrical engineer needs an rotating electrical connector to avoid the wire twisting.

This electronical rotary joint is called Slip Ring.
